Welcome EDU 590 students
Hi.
My name is Todd Wilmore and I teach for Central Michigan University’s Master in Education degree program. I am using this blog as a tool in teaching our advanced technology class and plan for you to sign up for your own free account and create your own blog in coming weeks.
This will be new to many of you but don’t be intimidated or anxious. As with all new things, learning will happen in small pieces at a time. Follow the instructions, ask questions, use the Help feature whenever you are stumped, and always feel free to contact me for help.
Blogs can be a useful tool for connecting with trainees, students, and employees in or out of the workplace or classroom. The important thing to remember in creating your blog is to make it interesting and engaging.
There is no “box” you need to fit into, unless you create one. You are free to try something different everyday.
Whatever you decide to do, remember you can always edit your blog. Learn as you go. And when you have become a basic blogger, let your students and trainees try their hand at creating blogs. They will learn as they go, they will have some creative ideas, and you can sit back and be the Editor in Chief.
Have fun and good luck. Follow the links I list to get started expanding your knowledge of advanced technology for you, your programs, or your classroom
